Carrot, Celery and Parsley

According to Wikipedia, the Apiaceae or Umbelliferae are also known as the carrot, celery or parsley family. The name Apiaceae comes from the genus Apium, which includes celery and celeriac.

Wikipedia lists the following "well–known and economically important plants" as members of the family: ajwain, angelica, anise, asafoetida, caraway, carrot, celery, chervil, coriander, cumin, dill, fennel, lovage, cow parsley, parsley, parsnip and sea holly – as well as "a significant number of phototoxic species, such as giant hogweed, and a smaller number of highly poisonous species, such as water hemlock, poison hemlock, water dropwort and spotted cowbane."

(Phototoxicity is a chemically–induced skin irritation that requires light.)
